Scout Notes May 13 2019

Pack Twilight Camp - Evenings Mon, June 3 to Fri, June 7 - 10203 Columbus Acres Rd

Just a heads up, the $50 early bird fee for Twilight Camp will expire this Tuesday, May 21st @ 11:59pm.

After the early bird fee has expired, the registration for the camp will be bumped up to $60 per scout - Save your money and register beforehand!

The theme for this year’s camp is, "Under the Sea". I am attaching a photo of the camp patch that each scout will receive as a participant - its really cool!

In addition to the patch, Butterfield Trail Twilight Camp participants will also receive a camp-themed water bottle and a camp-themed drawstring backpack as well.

Check-In begins at 5:30 each night. Please have Health forms ready to turn in at the ‘Life Guard Shack’ prior to check-In

Opening Flag at 6pm Sharp!
Monday-Thursday will begin with the entire camp gathering for a guest speaker presentation at 6:15. Each patrol will then rotate through 4 stations.

Coral of Creation: Catapulting Coral
Harpoon Alley: Archery
Skits, Songs, and Snacks: Fruit

Fun in The Sun: Recycled Raingutter Regatta
Coral of Creation: Sea Creature String Art and Knot Tying
Harpoon Alley: Wrist Rockets
Skits, Songs, and Snacks: Goldfish

Fun in The Sun: Scout Law Fishing
Coral of Creation: Ocean in a Bottle and Ocean Zones
Harpoon Alley: BB Guns
Skits, Songs, and Snacks: Fruit and Goldfish

Patrols will be assigned to a designated area to work on advancements towards an elective. Also, during this time, each patrol will build a water rocket to be launched on Friday.

Family Night! Fun will start at 5:30 with lots of family games around camp to play. Hot Dog dinner will be served at 7pm with Songs Skits and Awards to follow.

Troop and Pack Parents Organization Meeting

Monday June 3, 6 pm - We will plan events for remainder of 2019 through Spring 2020.

Troop Summer Camp at Orr, June 23-29

Everyone (all scouts, leaders, adult campers) AS SOON AS POSSIBLE please download and fill out Part A and B of the BSA health Record. If you plan to go to summer camp, take the form to your health care provider to fill out Part C.

Turn in your completed form to the Scoutmaster/Cubmaster.

Register for Summer Camp Merit Badges as soon as possible. To get started please pay the $100 deposit per scout, or make financial arrangements with Mr. Matlock at the Monday night meeting.
