Westark Area Council National Jamboree Trip
Sign Up Before March 31 To Be A Part of The 2013 Westark Area Council National Jamboree Trip
The Westark Area Council Jamboree Trip wil be from July 9 - 25, 2013.
Don't miss out on this historical Scouting event and the chance to see some of our nation's greatest historical sites and treasures!
Don't wait until after March 31 to sign up for Jamboree. You may have missed your opportunity by then.
Due to the fact that a large, nonrefundable deposit is due to BSA National by March 31, 2012, for each troop the council takes to Jamboree, the council must decide by March 31, whether or not we will take 1 or 2 troops to the event. This decision will be based on the number of boys registered to go to Jamboree. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, so DON'T MISS OUT! If the council has to cut the contingent down to one troop, only the first 36 youth who are approved for Jamboree will get to go. The first troop is filling up fast, so GET YOUR REGISTRATIONS IN!!!
THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A JAMBO LIKE THIS...EVER!
- High adventure like you've never seen. Whitewater, climbing, zip lines, mountain biking, and much, much more. (Not to mention all of the things you've grown to love about the jamboree: patch trading, SCUBA, arena shows, Technology Quest ... who could ask for more?)
- History created by you. This will be the first jamboree at its new permanent home, and you'll be there for the grand opening.
- The 2013 Jamboree is from July 15 - July 24, 2013. It's going to big. It's going to be wild.

AND THE JAMBOREE IS ONLY PART OF THE EXPERIENCE...
The Westark Area Council will take a contingent of 2 Scout troops (72 Youth and 8 Adult Leaders) led by Ken Pevehouse and Pepe Estrada. The contingent will leave on July 9, 2013 for a "once-in-a-lifetime experience" that will include whitewater rafting and historic sites such as Mt. Vernon, Monticello, and the National Cathedral. The Scouts will also lay a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery and tour the museums and monuments of our nation’s capital before making their way to The Summit in West Virginia for the history making 2013 Jamboree on July 15.
