NOAC 2018 Registration Open

From July 30 to August 4, 2018, the Order of the Arrow will hold its National Order of the Arrow Conference at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. The National Order of the Arrow Conference is Scouting’s second-largest national program event and will bring Arrowmen from all across America together for a week of adventure, fellowship, fun, patch trading, training, exciting entertainment, great food, and lasting memories. The Wachtschu Mawachpo Lodge of the Westark Area Council is planning to take 16 Arrowmen to the conference, and we want you to be one of them!

The National Order of the Arrow Conference is unlike any other Scouting event. This rich experience will leave a lifetime of memories. From learning about the history of our Order to exciting shows to excellent leadership and character building sessions to making new friends from across the nation, this is an excellent way to rekindle your passion for Scouting. If you have not already achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, going to NOAC may give you the boost needed to complete your advancement. If you are an Eagle Scout, going to NOAC will inspire you to use the skills you have developed to help the next Scout reach his goals and to give back to Scouting. Involvement in the Order of the Arrow has proven to enrich many Scouts’ journeys, and we hope you will take the opportunity to attend.

Who can attend? Any Arrowmen in good standing in the lodge is eligible to attend. What does that mean? In order for an Arrowman to be in good standing with their lodge, they must be a registered member of BSA and have paid their current years’ lodge dues. You must maintain your membership through the event period. In other words, you cannot let your membership lapse come 2018.

What is the cost? The cost of the trip is $1,000.00, which covers transportation, event fees, meals, housing, side trips, and limited edition contingent patches. Should you have any questions, please contact our Contingent Adviser, Mr. Don Moseley, at don.moseley.eagle@gmail.com or (479) 721-9595.

Contingent registration is limited to 16 participants at this time, 12 youth, and 4 adult, on a first come first served basis. National may allow additional registrations at a later date, but the date and number is unknown at this time. A waiting list will be maintained and utilized to replace any that may drop out. Replacements will be called according to the order of their registration.

Registration will open at 9:00 pm on Tuesday, October 3, and run until December 1, 2017.
