CR Spring Camporee - America: The Start of a Nation
Relive The Start of Our Nation: America 1607 to 1776 
Come out and join us for another great Boy Scout Camporee! In this series of historical themed events, we will have activities that surround our nation’s first 169 years of existence 1607 to 1776. They will include: scouts skills competition for awards, trading and bartering post, clothing from the time period of our nations's history.
Razorback and other District troops are also invited to join in the fun!
About the Camporee Theme
This year’s Spring Camporee will focus on our Nation’s first 169 years of
existence 1607 to 1776. We will have Scout skills learning and a readiness
challenge set up throughout the Camporee that the boys can participate in,
learn more about and even compete as a patrol in. Patrols will compete for the
Scouting recognition to be awarded during the closing campfire!
1. First Aid and Expedient Transportation Methods* - First Aid Materials will be provided
2. Orienteering and navigation (Map & Compass)* - Compass will be provided
3. Confidence Wall Climbing * - Rope and safety platform will be provided
4. Matchless Fire Starting* - Flint and wood will be provided (Scouts must provide a knife)
5. Best Overall Challenge Score*
6. Scout Sprit*
7. Leave No Trace
8. “A trading Post - Swap Meet” that the boys can participate in (Each Troop Can Bring a table to set up their
goods to be displayed. Bring your patches collectables and hard to find items.

Scouting skills to practice are; Map & Compass, Fire Starting with Flint and Steel, First Aid and transportation
means, and Leave No Trace. All Scouts need to carry their Totin’ Chip, and Fire’n Chit cards and be prepared to
present them to the judges (points will be given for having cards and no cards points will be deducted).
Service Project: We will also have a service project that each unit will participate in. Each Scout should have a
pair of work gloves and a pair of work shoes. The project will consist of beach shoreline clean up to include
wood, trash, and recyclables.
